A clear plan is the best way to control the cost and timeline of a mobile app. This checklist turns an idea into a scope a development team can estimate accurately. For background, read How to Plan a Mobile App for Your Business.
1. Purpose

- Confirm people will use it repeatedly (weekly or daily).

4. Features
- Mark each feature as Must-have, Should-have or Later.
- Keep the first release to Must-haves.
- Note any offline requirements.
- Decide on notifications (push, SMS, WhatsApp, email).

9. Store readiness
- Google Play developer account in your business name.
- Apple Developer account if launching on iOS.
- App name, icon, screenshots and description.
- Support email and website URL.
10. Budget, timeline and support
